The Global Platform Zambia, through the SPAII programme and the Strengthening Civil Society Effectiveness in Promoting Good Governance and Increasing Citizens' Awareness and Demand for Human Rights in Zambia Phase II project, conducted a sampling on-site monitoring of some selected totaling centres in five constituencies in Lusaka district. Three staff members undertook an on-site field investigation to check the levels of preparedness by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) at constituency totaling centres and selected polling stations; check security situations at these points; observe the environment of members; dispatch ballot papers from the Lusaka district; and deploy ECZ poll staff to polling stations.
