ActionAid Zambia today appeared the the parliamentary committee and suggested for more tangible solutions to National debt management than the current restructuring.
Appearing before the 2024-2026 Medium Term Budget Plan and the National Budget committee, chaired by Moomba Constituency Member of Parliament Fred Chaatila, AtionAid submitted that mechanisms should be designed internally to raise revenue if debt was to be avoided.
ActionAid Head of Programs and Resource Mobilisation Musonda Kabinga led his team.
They submitted that the current debt restructuring agreement will have significant implications on debt service repayment.
That focus should go beyond that IMF programmes and other international partners.
